So, first to get it out of the way, the name: when Kingdom Hearts was translated all of the sudden a different Romanization was used for her name. Neither “s” nor “th” is more correct than the other, just a different way of translating from the Japanese text. It bugs me when people refer to her in terms of the original game or the movie as Aerith, but in the context of Kingdom Hearts I see it as correct. Moving on.

My primary costume of 2007 was Aeris from the movie Final Fantasy: Advent Children. It is no secret that the basic elements of this costume are the same as the outfit she wears in the first Kingdom Hearts game. So, when I asked Shiva and Crazy Flower if they needed anyone for their skit at PortCon in 2008, I was more than happy to make slight alterations to my costume and step in. Now, it is true that I do not play Kingdom Hearts, but I do know Aeris from other series so I can’t really feel too guilty, especially when helping out friends.
